Life is good! I went for a hike in New Paltz, New York with my wonderful family. It was a gorgeous day on Sunday. Now, I have to tell you that I am new to hiking. Actually my husband was quite impressed with my effort. The climb turned out to be a bit steep and I must confess, I did complain, occasionally and then some!

This climb would not have been a thought years ago, when I should have been in the best physical shape. I was a very sick young woman. For those of you that don’t know my story, I had an underlying autoimmune problem that went diagnosed. It was a roller coaster ride, hopping from doctor to doctor but never getting an answer.

You will hear me say that our struggles are the driving force to change. I learned a lot on my long journey and that is why I can share my story with all of you today! I adopted a whole food diet that was specific to my needs. In my early forties, I was diagnosed with Celiac disease and Sjogren Syndrone, both autoimmune disorders. I started to change my diet and lifestyle and with time the changes began to happen! It was a miracle!

I knew I could not keep this information to myself and so my journey into Health Coaching began and now a masters in Holistic Nutrition. My body is working better today than it did 30 years ago. I have the energy and power to surmount obstacles that were impossible for me to even think about in the past. My husband said, “ You are getting strong in your old age.” Wait a minute, who said 53 is old?

I encourage everyone, to adopt a healthier lifestyle and give yourself the chance you deserve to live your best life now. You can have that same, the “Power to Climb” to the summit of your possibilities! Take that first step today and when you get to the top, enjoy the spectacular view! xoxo Lucy
